general metadata sync

Iris Jan 08, 2016 11:19AM GMT

Dear Colwiz team,

I just started using Colwiz, because Mendeley gets buggy on my Linux machine. It looks really clean, and also doesn't take a lot of screen space when using a text editor.
However, I found that Colwiz is not able to remember general metadata like 'article' or 'book'. I have been changing this for one particular book over and over and every time I start Colwiz again, this book is an 'article' again. Very frustrating.
Furthermore, I saw in the ideas section that it would/should be possible to not sync all the pdfs, and only the metadata. It looks like this is not possible on the Linux version?
Last suggestion: would be nice to start the search function with ctrl-f, as is possible in (almost) all programs and really helps speed up the process.

I hope you can help me, especially with the correct metadata, otherwise I will not invest any more time in the product.

Thank you very much,
Iris

Hi,

Are you sure your library is logged in when you edit your references? Changes made while in offline mode do not get synced. Looking forward to your response. Thanks.
